If I could give negative stars, I would. This place sent the wrong cake to a wedding and then yelled at and basically cussed out the bride when she tried to call and get her money back! Customer service in this day and age is very important and Naples needs to learn that! The venue recommended this place and lets just say they were beyond embarrassed and re-thinking their relationship with Naples. STAY AWAY - STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!

I drive 30 minutes to get mini cannolis from Naples Bakery. This is an old school bakery that gets it right. Their mini cookies etc are simply off the chart excellent.

We had a great experience with Naples bakery. The cake was included in our venue package, but we stopped in at the bakery several times for a tasting and to pick a design. The first time we stopped in we were very indecisive and had no idea what we wanted. The staff was very patient and reviewed pictures with us and explained all the options. We decided on a 4 tier with ribbon, cascading sugar flowers and silk flowers on top. They asked us to find some examples on Pintrest and email them. I completely forgot and they called to remind us to send examples. I was worried after I had dropped off the silk flowers for the topper because I thought they wouldn't look right with the sugar flowers. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the cake at the wedding it was beautiful! The designer had taken apart the hyacinths I provided and interspersed them with the sugar roses. We heard the cake was delicious (we were socializing during dinner and missed it) , so we had have the top layer for dinner the next night and froze the remaining for next year. We highly recommend!

They did our wedding cake exactly the way we wanted and they said the designs maybe would be a bit different but it was not, it came out perfect and just what we wanted, Drana and her sister were great to work with in placing a wedding cake order very helpful, cake taste great too, love it thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Rodriguez 11/07/14

The Italian pastries at Naples are -- as you would expect -- very good indeed. As are the cakes. But as another revivewer here remarked, the place often does smell more savory than sweet, because they also bake savory pies such as chicken pot pie and chili-cheese pie. I, too, have a slight problem with my sweets smelling like chicken or chili, which is the sole reason I didn't give this place a well-earned four stars. I also think the chicken pot pie is a little overpriced for what it is. However, reviewer Kenneth T. is mistaken about one thing: maybe it's just my timing, but I've never seen lemon fluff cake here -- that's the specialty of Wolf's a few blocks east of Naples Bakery, near the CVS drug store at Kedzie Avenue. In fact, Wolf's is famous for its lemon fluff cake -- it's their trademark item. Not so Naples, which is more known for its Italian goodies and wedding cakes. Each has its own particular things it makes the best, of course; but on the whole, I prefer Wolf's unless I really have to have cannoli or Italian cookies. That's just me.

Naples Bakery did my parents' wedding cake 30 years ago, and my parents still reminisce about how delicious it was. So imagine my surprise when I found out that Naples was the bakery our reception venue worked with! I was thrilled. My husband and I enjoyed sampling their cake flavors and fillings. We ordered the same cake as my parents for two tiers (cannoli filling and chocolate) and my husband's favorite for the other tiers (raspberry and yellow cake). Our cake was a hit with us and our guests - it looked beautiful and tasted even better!

Bought 2 delicious coffee cakes here on a drizzly Saturday morning. Staff is very helpful and both coffee cakes (blueberry and pecan) were delicious. Can't wait to try more, and will definitely talk to them for my wedding cake.

I recently purchased a cake and some pastries. when I walked out, my clothes smelled odd...not like the bakery smell one expects when you walk into a bakery. Apparently they cook food in the same establishment. The odd smell totally threw off my experience when trying to eat it. I asked to speak to the owner about it.....she is in complete denial of the smell, she blames the pizzeria next door, but I didn't smell pizza. We have a big custom cake order coming soon, so we cancelled, owner hit us up with 10 dollar cancellation fee. Sorry, I like my baked goods to smell like it came from a bakery! I learned they make soup on Sundays, and who knows what else, which the smell apparently is sticking onto baked goods..EWWWW. Keep your soup cake lady!

I'm addicted to their cookies. The lady fingers, turtles, chocolate dipped macaroons. The cakes look amazing. Everyone there is really nice and patient, which I appreciate because when I go in there, my eyes get really big and I tend to be a bit overcome with the offerings I have in front of me. Superior to and less expensive than Wolf's. I still have no idea what lemon fluff is, but by the looks of the reviews, I better check it out.

Since I still have the feast from here on my hips, I might as well write the review for this delicious place. My daughter brought me here and now I know why I love her! I not only got fabulous cookies and treats but dinner as well! I brought home a Chicken Pot pie, my husband's favorite plus I got credit for making dinner. Double win! The pot pie was a very nice size with a delicious savory flavor. My husband would have liked it creamier but I thought it was perfect. For dessert we had pumpkin pie slices and it made me mad that I hadn't bought a whole pie. Plus, I had some cookies for a treat with tea for the next day. Aaahhh, what a perfect combination. As I write this review, my mouth is watering and I realize I need to go back there. Anyone up for a trip to Evergreen Park?

I haven't been going to as many fun new places lately, so to remedy that I worked in a visit to a new bakery before book club. We got there just before closing and there was still plenty to choose from. I got a variety of the butter cookies - my all time bakery weakness - a raspberry bar and a slice of pumpkin cheesecake. I had some of the cookies that night and they were delicious. Pumpkin cheesecake? Also fabulous. The raspberry bar I saved for breakfast the next day. It was the BEST breakfast I have had in the longest time. It was soft like coffee cake and had a terrific buttery crust. So good. Luckily my friend lives down the street so I can make some repeat visits and get more raspberry bars. They also have a savory items - pot pies and chili cheese pies which I want to check out. Next time!

So disappointed in their level of customer service. We visited this bakery in June to discuss details of our wedding cake which is needed this weekend August 31st. They were highly recommended by our venue as an amazing bakery. The order was placed along with all the details or so I thought. Today we got a call from our venue that they have not been able to reach Naples. And have no idea what our cake is supposed to look like. You can imagine what kind of panic I am feeling since our wedding is this Saturday. My fiance reached out to Naples to discuss details. And they seem to have an attitude with him. 1. We asked them to use their rhinestones and we will pay extra. Well now they do not have enough rhinestones for our cake. 2. The cake is supposed to be 4 tier, but they aren't sure how many tiers. 3. Being rude to my fiance is not a good way to run a business. If my wedding was not so soon I would find another bakery to make our wedding cake. So disappointed in the poor communication and it does not seem like they care to make things right either.

I ordered a shower cake here and it was awesome! The bakery made me a yellow cake with pineapple filling. They even used the edible topper I brought in. The cake was soooooooooo beautiful and tasty!!!!!!!!!!!! I will definitely use this bakery over the one a few blocks east!

Thanks to Emily B. I drove past my usual bakery to check this place out. It was amazing! I shouldn't even admit to this, but I purchased $20 worth of treats for myself. Yes, I ate them all! The cookies are just like what my Grandma and Great Aunts used to make. The have a huge selection and were really friendly and patient with me while I looked at every single thing. I will head back when I lose my "few extra pounds" or when I stop caring completely.

We ordered our wedding cake through Naples and it was just perfect! I wanted an ombre pink effect with the frosting and they created it exactly how I envisioned. The cake arrived early and the decorations and flavors were spot on. There was not any leftovers to take home-it was THAT good! They were very reasonably priced and could easily charge more for the quality you get.

Here's how this started. "Honey, I really want a cannoli cake for my birthday". I then proceeded to contact a very good friend of Italian descent to find the best Italian bakery around. He said, Naples, it's the best. My husband traversed miles to get to this place and not only got me the cake but picked up some pastries too. Light, fresh, very tasty and worth the trip.

When I got married last September, we used Garden Chalet as our reception spot. A cake from Naples Bakery was included in the cost. Naples is an old fashioned bakery in that they are more concerned with a cake tasting great than looking flawless. You won't find any fondant here. However, I have to say that I think my cake was one of the most beautiful parts of my wedding. I had fallen in love with a cake I found on Pinterest. Despite my blue wedding, I wanted a pink cake with flowers cascading down. Naples doesn't make sugar flowers, but they allowed me to bring in silk flowers that I ordered off of Etsy. Their arrangement was gorgeous. It was definitely way better than I even imagined when I brought in my shoe box of flowers. I have an expression of pure joy in the picture of me walking in and seeing the cake for the first time. The cake was layers of vanilla, chocolate, raspberry mouse, and chocolate mouse. It was heavenly.

Yummm!!! Naples Bakery made my wedding cake and I was very pleased with how it turned out!! My belly agrees!!!! The cake was beautiful and tasted even better. It was so rich and moist I wanted more! The staff at Naples Bakery worked with me every step to get the perfect wedding cake. I did not make it easy...I changed my mind a few times but never did Naples staff complain. Naples will forever be the place to order cakes and desserts!

I've been going to Naples since I was little and I love it just as much now as I did then! A couple months ago, they made my wedding cake and my guests couldn't stop talking about how great it was! Even our photographer (who said she'd given up on eating wedding cake and who has worked lots of posh downtown weddings) said it was one of the best she'd ever had. I highly recommend the cannoli, angelette cookies, coffee cakes and the Naples Specials (buttery, flaky sugar twists). Super affordable and absolutely delicious!

Really, the other reviews here have said it all. Cannoli, custard tarts, coffee cake. I think I gained 5 pounds thinking about it. Living in the West Loop, I really miss places like this. People mastering their craft, catering to the neighborhood, hiring high school kids to sling their precious good to the adoring masses.

Anytime I need Italian or French pastries for parties... I make the drive to Evergreen Park from my home in Wicker Park. To buy similar quality pastries in my neighborhood would cost me almost three times as much... and in this economy... I would not be able to afford these types of indulgences. The staff is friendly... almost takes me back in time when I was a kid. My hat goes off to the Naples Team!

We just moved to Evergreen Park from Downtown Chi about 8 months ago and it's been quite a transition including from a culinary standpoint. While there are some decent liitle places to grab a bite to eat, let's just say I haven't been overly impressed with anything. Still I try whenever possible to shop local and support the community and so when it came time for my sons 2nd birthday I wanted to do just that. I read the reviews on yelp about Naples and decided to give it try. I took in his invitations which were adorable Orange & black with a big Yellow Crane that said Dig Cake! I asked them to create the cake based off of the invitation with coordinating cupcakes. It could not have turned out anymore perfect! The cake was so cute and looked exactly like the invitation. The cupcakes were the perfect size-not mini but not jumbo with beautiful vibrant color-a perfect accent for the table and easy to grab. Most importantly our guests raved not only about how adorable everything was but how it was the best tasting, moist, delicious cake they had ever eaten! Great customer service, great value and great products. I am so glad we have such a nice bakery in EP. Thank you Naples!

This traditional Italian bakery, straight out of The Sopranos, supplied my wedding cake. Excellent cake, 1/2 the price of north side bakeries. The bakery also carries a great assortment of traditional Italian cookies and pasteries.

call off the dogs, the search is over! from the friendliness of the staff to the selections, to the incredible, delectable, "oh my God, this is too freakin' good!' factor of their cakes, this is the best bakery in town, inside and out of chicago! the frosting is an absolute dream: luscious and light, and not too sweet. the cake is soft and moist, and the fillings are wonderful as well. they make cakes that even people who don't normally like cakes will love. it's so rare to find that perfect combination of things that people like about good cakes--don't underestimate the impact a great cake has on a special event--all i can say is: just give them a try and you will see why! ;) specific details of the cake: chocolate with strawberry and banana--each on their own layer so that every bite has both fillings. i won't lie--one slice wasn't enough! thank god i have another special occasion coming up soon so i can taste their cakes again!!
